[Design Objectives]
At Cattlehide, we believe simplicity in the design allows more attention to be given to the leather. We want more people to be able to experience what it feels like to own a full grain leather product; a leather product so durable, it embraces water, oils and scratches.
Our products are designed to be highly accessible, allowing for quick draw of cash or cards. The results for a simple and minimal leather product, is maximum efficiency.

[The Origin Of Rivet Use]

Rivets are the round metal caps you see on some of our product photos. They work similar to how staples work for paper, it binds and hold leather in place when hammered to create a permanent hold between layers of leathers.
We started out only providing leathercrafts made out of rivets and folds, instead of the traditional saddle stitches or machine stitches. This gives Cattlehide wallets their distinctive look to set ourselves apart from our competitors and also established a reliable product. The rivets are now available in 4 beautiful colours (bronze, silver, gunmetal and gold) and you are sure to find a compatible combination regardless of your leather choice.
Due to the limitations of rivets in some precision crafts like watch straps and layered wallets, we have been polishing up our saddle stitch skills and are constantly improving on the consistency in our stitch lines. If you have seen some of our recent saddle stitched crafts, you would notice that every thread pull is now remarkably consistent and it gives the product a more refined & sophisticated look. In contrary to rivets which gives it a more adventurous look.

[Finest Quality Leather]
At Cattlehide, we sourced for one of the finest quality leather around.
Every leather we buy is trace-able down to the tannery it was made from.
Our Full Grain & Top Grain veg tanned leathers are hand-selected by ourselves to ensure that the leather is blemish free (except for some leathers which have natural creases as a selling point). Full grain leathers are able to withstand daily abuse, exposures from sun, moisture, sweat and rain, they are also the strongest cow leather known to humankind.
We have also sourced for embossed genuine leathers such as Epsom or Saffiano leathers, which are excellent for bright coloured crafts due to their resistance to patina. Crafts made with these have surfaces which are resistant to water, stains and can hold their bright vibrant colours for longer compared to their veg tan counterparts.

[Everchanging Leather Options]

We procure leather in various sizes of half hides to just a shoulder, and they may not be replenished when completely sold.
​
This allows for a nice range of leathers that we can explore and that our customers can also look forward to these releases whenever they are considering to replace their previous wallet from us (we do have wallet trade-up programmes available as well)
​
As the leather we select usually have their own unique colour and characteristic to them, we feel this keeps the collection fresh and alive. If you do have a leather in mind that you really like, do let us know and place more orders for them because you'll never really know when we would decide to bring it back again.

The membership levels has been introduced to thank our supportive customers and what better way is there to thank them by giving them discounts on the product they love.

They are Gold ($100 Cumulative), Platinum ($300 Cumulative), Diamond ($1000 Cumulative) & Elite ($2000 Cumulative). To assure our customers of the exceptional quality, reliability and durability of our wallets, Cattlehide Singapore is proud to announce Lifetime Guarantee* on it's entire line of products from the past, present & future.
The Lifetime Guarantee will cover any rivet pop, thread unravelling, adhesive failure or leather tear over your entire period of use. Any failure of the above mentioned will entitle you either a quick self-fix guide for your to repair it yourself at home, mail it back to us to repair and send it back to you, or have a product made in replacement of your previously ordered product. As our leather options are everchanging, we might not have the leather to do a replacement, and hence we would offer you with an option to select from our current array of products where pricier leathers would still require a small top up fee on top of your purchase price.
The lifetime guarantee helps us identify areas of possible weakness in our design and we have since upgraded our design to prevent the occurrence of all reported issues raised previously. Hence what we have now listed in our product listing have been extensively tested by myself as well as real users.
* The Lifetime Guarantee does not cover intentional damages to the product. This can be identified from damage of surrounding leather areas when pulling threads or rivets out with force. We serve all rights to turn down warranty privileges for products which have been found to be damaged intentionally.
